About Adam and Tim

Adam Goucher and Tim Catalano found their passion for running while in high school.  Tim ran for the Fort Collins High School Lambkins (Yes…The Lambkins!) and helped them win back-to-back State Championships before signing to run for the University of Colorado.  Four years later Adam graduated from Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, where he led his team to a State Championship and earned an individual national title at the Foot Locker championships.  Adam joined Tim at the University of Colorado where they enjoyed only one year as teammates but began an enduring friendship.  That year they helped CU to a second place finish nationally.  Tim went on to teach Psychology and coach high school cross country and track, while Adam finished his storied collegiate career and continued to add national championships and an Olympic berth to his professional resumé.

About Run The Edge

Run The Edge is a project Adam and Tim are working on to harness the powerful life lessons found in running and apply them to every other aspect of life including, education, careers, family, friendships, and other passions.  With a foundation in Psychology and human behavior, they are exploring the connections between the positive attributes of successful runners and those of successful people.

In the September of 2011, Adam and Tim released a book (titled Running the Edge) full of stories, reflections, and life philosophies, that illustrates how running can reveal the positive attributes that can make us successful in every area of life.
